Measuring AI Visibility
Competitor comparison only works when prompts, timing, and scoring rules stay aligned. Otherwise the chart is theater.
Use the same buyer questions, the same systems, and the same observation window. Compare who is named, who is prioritized, who is misdescribed, and which source patterns keep appearing.
A competitor “winning” one prompt is noise. A competitor dominating a prompt family is a finding.
Being named for the wrong services is not a win. Being recommended in the wrong geography is not a win. Share-of-mention metrics without accuracy checks can hide brand damage.
Useful competitive reads separate presence, priority, and correctness.
Coastline compares within a defined market and prompt design so gaps map to evidence gaps. The exact competitor sets, prompt families, and scoring worksheets are client artifacts—not public content.
Coastline Metrics does not publish proprietary prompt packs, scoring formulas, remediation playbooks, or operator workflows in the Resource Center. Those materials belong inside client engagements. What you will find here is durable education: how to think clearly about AI visibility, what evidence looks like, and what claims to reject.
Coastline Metrics measures how leading AI systems understand, describe, and recommend your business—and identifies what may be limiting your visibility.
